About the role
Our IT department is growing fast and we need brilliant professionals to help drive these developments. We want to change the way IT is seen at the National Trust. We want to forge the perfect working relationship between the amazingly talented people behind our beautiful places and spaces and the IT solutions that'll enable them to do their job the best they can. An exciting IT strategy together with an ambitious expansion of the IT team: this is your chance to be part of it.

How can we make sure our IT service is meeting business needs? As the link between the IT team and the wider business, you'll know how. Encouraging collaboration and understanding, you'll help analyse and establish project requirements for IT-related projects across the Trust, making sure that they're fully scoped and signed off before they start. You'll work with stakeholders to understand, develop and define business processes - identifying issues and opportunities and recommending appropriate workable and maintainable solutions. About you
Your experience as a Business Analyst has given you expert knowledge of end-to-end business processes and project methodologies like PRINCE2 or MSP, as well as a strong level of commercial awareness. This is a role that requires less IT technical expertise and much more a commitment to customer service and the ability to get things done. You're a people person through and through; it's all about how you say things, not just what you say. Confident and credible, you pride yourself on offering colleagues insight and solutions that will best support their needs. With the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical people, you also understand the principles, methods and techniques for delivering quality documentation. ISEB or other recognised Business Analyst qualifications would be a distinct advantage.

Incredibly rewarding
We expect a lot, but we'll offer a great deal in return, starting with stimulating and challenging work and the opportunity to help us achieve our bold ambitions.
